Greetings, Fellow sisters

Thank goodness! A place for us girls who are sci-fanatics and fantasy fanatics. Well, allow me to introduce myself. I go by the name Nala Stormhunter, a reluctant twi'lek jedi. My older brother loved Star Wars, and I was raised with it. Literally. My first teething ring was a Luke Skywalker action figure my brother so carelessly left on the ground. I love Star Trek, DS9 and TNG. I have watched the Star Wars movies to the point where I pit my knowledge against anyone's. I've only been humbled twice thus far, and once was a technicality. I love Buffy and Lord of the Rings. I love Stargate and Babalyon Five and Earth 2. I can tell you the day that Earth 2 aired was Sunday in 94-95 at six o'clock, leading into the second season of my first and greatest obession....seaQuest DSV.

When it comes to seaQuest DSV, I'm about a big a fan as they come. Yes, I got hooked by the teen idol, but I stayed for the stories. I could tell you the history of O'Neill, Wolenczak, Kreig and Ortiz. I can tell you the birthdate of Captain Nathan Hale Bridger, when he married his wife, and when his son died, and how his son died. I point out the fact that Seth Green and Jonathan Brandis did a TV mini-series years before Seth Green guest starred on the Episode Photon Bullet in the first season, and the fact that werewolves seem to follow Seth Green around. I can tell you how Lucas knows Biff Pickering.

Yeah, I'm obsessed, and I'm proud of it. And it just got worse now that they released seaQuest DSV first season on DVD. And Earth 2. I can't wait to get that as well.

I spent all day yesterday with the Sci-fi channel on watching Seaquest.

I miss Jonathan's floppy blond hotness....

g
I miss it too. I was very sad when I heard he had passed. He was an incredible actor. I watched seaQuest on Sci-fi channel, because I was at my parents. I miss cable, and more importantly, I miss Sci-Fi Channel...It's my crack.
Welcome, Sister in Sci-Fi Geekiness! :D

I never did get into seaQuest. It was aired opposite Lois and Clark, wasn't it? I was hooked on that. I'm a superhero junky. Especially if it involves Dean Cain occasionally being shirtless. :)

I miss my Sci Fi channel!! Waaaahhhh!!!!
I MISS SCI-FI CHANNEL TOO!!!! *pouts* My mom used to watch Lois and Clark...Which meant I had to use rabbit ears during the first run, but during summer reruns, I used to tape, but all my tapes are gone..but I have season one on DVD
I just got Season one of SeaQuest in the mail today. Yaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved that show so much, and I'm so happy to see it getting lots of play on the sci-fi channel. :D.

I'm also hoping SeaQuest costumes will be present at geek cons now.
I got it on Wednesday, and I've been continusously watching and screen capping the whole thing so I can make more icons, especially of some of the more understated characters, like Hitchcock and Ortiz and Kreig.(and Lucas) I hope season Two isn't too far behind. I need Piccolo and Dagwood ICONS!!!!

I used to have my own homemade Lieutenant Commander Hitchcock costume, when they still made the patches.
So did you watch Sci Fi the last two days?

I loved seaQuest when it was on (well... except for Lucas, or as he was called in our household "Wesley of the Sea") though after they redid it I wasn't as big of a fan..

Earth2.. I haven't thought of that show in a while... and that's another one I loved while it was on!
I loved them both. I did love Lucas...til the third season...they really screwed him up bad then. Yes, he was a Wesley of the Sea, but I still liked him better than Wesley Crusher, because he just seemed more like a kid than Wesley every seemed to me.
